musicNEWS: Neurotica team up with AC/DC's Brian Johnson again.
Things are really starting to happen for the Florida metal band. First our sister site rocknworld.com named their second release Living in Dog Years the best album of 1999. Now they landed two deals which will help put them on the road to super-stardom. AC/DCs Brian Johnson discovered the band a couple of years ago playing in a small venue in Florida. He helped get them a record deal and produced their debut record, Seed. Neurotica have once again teamed up with Brian on a movie soundtrack the AC/DC frontman is supervising. Neurotica have already begun work on the title track for the new movie "A Private War" staring Party of Five's Neve Campbell. The band has asked Doug Kaye to produce the song. Kaye was the man at helm for the bands latest release Living in Dog Years. Brain Johnson will join Neurotica for a remake of the song he co-wrote with Kaye for Neurotica's debut album "Seed." The new version of "Deadly Sin" will feature Brian and Neurotica's lead vocalist Kelly Shaefer on dueling lead vocals. There is no release date yet for the film or soundtrack, but we will keep you Posted. However, you will be able to catch songs from the "Living in Dog Years" on MTV starting in February 2000. MTV Networks has licensed all 11 tracks from the album to use as background music on their shows Undressed, Making the Video and The Road Home. You can also see the band on the road in 2000 as they tour North America to support "Living in Dog Years". So like antiGUY told you when he named this band artist of the month in November, if you haven't already picked up a copy of "Living in Dog Years" you better hurry. Soon, you will no longer be able to tell people you were listening to this band before everyone else caught on to the phenomenon that is Neurotica! Want more Neurotica? Rocknworld has info, links, sound samples, we even point you free MP3 downloads of their music. |
